Beaches
in India
The vast peninsular coastline of India offers
a wide choice of beaches. Some of these are well touristed
while others maintain an un spoilt look. Swimming and sunbathing
amidst this chain of sun-drenched, palm-fringed beaches provides
a soothing tranquility. Mumbai the commercial capital of India
has some the finest beaches. It is natural that a city offer
a handsome choices of beaches. Chowpatty (Girgaum), situated
at the northern end of marine drive, is a strech of sandy
beach.Juhu, is a crowded beach with residential apartments
and bungalows surrounding it. Beyond the city are the relatively
unspoilt, secluded beaches at Versova, Madh Islands, Marve,
Manori and Gorai. Goa shines brightly on the tourist map because
of its beaches. Goa is a delight for swimmers, anglers, water
sports buffs and sun-bathers. The pride of Chennai city is
the Marina beach. Some
of the renowned beaches are Calangute, Dona Paula, Colva Beach,
Miramar, Anjuna, Vagator, Arambol, Agonda and Pololem. The
union territory of Daman & Diu also has some beautiful
baeches.The Jampore Beach & Nagoa Beach are two of them.
Kovalam, in Kerala has an uncluttered beach of silvery sands
fringed with rows upon rows of tall palms, a sheltered bay.
A wide choice of water sports makes it a perfect Beach.
